Here are the TEE TIMES for Sunday. 

 

Golf Genius GGID: SDADJR20

 

Scoring: The official scorecard will be kept by one member of each group on Golf Genius. Participants should all have the Golf Genius app or USGA Tournament Management (TM) app on their phones to assist with scoring and access tournament information. 

 

Practice Rounds: Contact the golf shop and tell them you are playing in the SDGA Adult/Junior. (605) 353-8525

 

Format: Alternate Shot. Juniors tee off on odd-numbered holes and Adults on even-numbered holes. 

 

Divisions: NEW for 2020! Each division (except 16-18) will have separate competitions for boys and girls.

 

Awards: Each division will have one trophy for the winning team and the runner-up team. Prize certificates will also be issued to approximately 1/3 of the field in each division. So a division with 7 teams will pay 2-3 spots, and a division with 15 teams will pay five spots.

 

Tees: Juniors will be playing from the tees that they will play in the Junior Championship, subject to changes based on weather and course conditions. Adults will be playing the Boys 14-15 and Girls 14-15 tees, except for golf professionals who will play from the Boys 16-18 and Girls 16-18 tees. Here are the approximate yardages for each age group. For the 9-hole divisions, only the back 9 yardages are listed as that is where you will play on Monday. Hole distances will be similar on the front 9 for the Adult-Junior. Colors correspond to the Broadland Creek tee color, except for the modifed tees which are in shades of orange. 

 

Spectator Carts: With almost all groups expected to ride, there are not unlimited numbers of spectator carts available. Please limit them to those with a medical or physical issue. All others can inquire in the pro shop as to availability. If you have a medical or physical issue where a cart is required, please text your request to 605-202-2077. We will have plenty of carts for spectators on Monday and Tuesday. 

 

Pace of Play: Pace of play is crucial. All groups are expected to play in 4 Hours. Remember the golden rule: If you reach the teebox and the flagstick is in the hole, that means you have fallen behind and need to take measures to catch up. If you recognize it right away and correct, everyone stays in the proper position and everyone gets to play in the same amount of time. Never look behind to judge your pace or proper position on the course, always look ahead. You started right behind the group in front of you, you need to finish right behind that group on #18. If you get to #18 tee and you're the only group on the hole, you just made the round longer for everyone behind you.
